Omar Khadr sued for $45 Million by blinded US soldier, widow

Omar Khadr is being sued by the widow of a US special forces soldier killed in Afghanistan and an American soldier blinded by a grenade for about $45 million. The case, filed Thursday in Utah, have Tabitha Speer and Sgt. Layne Morris alleging that Khadr, who was 15 at the time, was responsible for the death of Sgt. Christopher Speer and Morris’ injuries in July 2002.

Justin Trudeau and his Ontario campaign co-chair are being sued for $1.5 million by would-be candidate Christine Innes for slander.

Christine Innes’ lawyers claim that Justin Trudeau and David MacNaughton slandered Innes falsely by saying that she had been blocked as a candidate because of bullying and intimidation tactics used by her campaign.
